Approximately 40 yards WW yarn- if using for a trivet or dishcloth, my recommendations would be Simply Cotton Organic Worsted or Dishie by WeCrochet

PATTERN
Round 1: Ch 8, sl st in first ch to form a ring. Ch 5, [1 dc into ring, ch 2] 11 times, sl st into 3rd ch of the first ch 5 to join round.
Round 2: Sl st into the next ch-2 sp. [Ch 5 and 1dc] in the same ch-2 sp, ch 2, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 2, [Vst in the next ch-2 sp, ch 2, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 2] 5 times, sl st in the 3rd ch of the first ch-5 to join round.
Round 3: Sl st into the next ch-2 sp. [Ch3, 1dc, Ch 2, 2dc] in the same ch-2 sp, ch 2, dc in the next sc, ch 2, [SH in the next Vst, ch 2, dc in the next sc, ch 2] 5 times, sl st in the first ch-3 to join round.
Round 4: Sl st into the next dc, sl st into the ch-2 sp of the next SH. [Ch 3, 2dc, ch3, 3dc] in the same SH, ch 4, dc in the next dc, ch 3, sc in the next SH, ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 4, *[3dc, ch 3, 3dc] in next SH, ch 4, dc in next dc, ch 3, sc in the next SH, ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 4, repeat from * around, sl st in top of first ch-3 to join round.
