Wow has this been a journey! Blogging can be hard work. You would think it would be easy, just type some words and hit publish, but there is so much more that goes into it than that.
Take your actual blog for example, you can host a blog through lots of different platforms, wordpress, blogger, blogspot, go daddy… the list goes on and on. But of course you don’t know which one you’re gonna like until you actually get one. Then, if your like me, you find out the one you picked doesn’t allow you to do the things you want to do… the reason you got a blog in the first place!
Then what do you do? Do you create a new blog and scrap the old one? Change it to a new platform? Well how the heck do you do that? Look, I’m good at writing and good at crocheting and getting better at writing patterns, but I am NOT good at web design and writing html.
Everyone told me to google how to do things. Yeah RIGHT I need an html dictionary to understand what the heck they are even talking about. Its hard to learn something when you don’t even understand the terms.
Now I will eventually learn all of that stuff, just because I like to know lots of things! I’m an education junkie! But what to do in the meantime. Well I surely didn’t have the time to learn it now, I’m too busy writing patterns and crocheting. So I did what any sane person does when they can’t figure out how to do something… I hired somebody to do it….
Fellow blogger Corina Gray’s sister Miranda Grimm of Designs By Miranda!
She was my saving grace. She got me started with a new platform, a new design and set up my blog with all the necessary components… Now lets hope I don’t screw it up playing around.
Miranda has also brought us the sites stitch11.com and the great new pattern resource The Yarn Box.
Eventually I’ll learn this html thing but until then I’m so glad I have someone who knows what they heck she is doing! Thanks Again Miranda.
In honor of all of the help Miranda supplied to me I will be creating a new hat in her honor… coming soon The Miranda! A cute and stylish slouch hat that will keep you warm on those winter days and will bring class to any outfit!
