Crochet. I often wonder where I was before crochet came into my life and why it seems to have transformed my life as it has. The answer, I suppose, is blowing in the wind. . . or somewhere in the stars. . . .
My name is Sedie and I’m a daughter, sister, cousin, niece, wife, mom and entrepreneur. As a woman I wear many hats that sometimes pull me in many directions, but I pray that at all times I am me; Just a girl straddling two cultures, raising two little people and building two businesses. . . but enough about me, what about you?
You’re a crochet artist who wants to build a business. Awesome! I’m a crochet artist who has been sent to help you! Yarn Obsession was created, at first, as a place for me to showcase and sell the items I crocheted. It then evolved into a place I could create and sell patterns. My favorite iteration is the one I have now, a place where I talk to and help budding and established crochet business owners like you gain a steady footing and grow their businesses.
I’m also an online marketing professional with a love for social media so whenever I have the opportunity I share information on platforms such as Pinterest and Facebook! I’m currently working on a “Rockin’ your Facebook Page” series on the blog and after my birthday celebration, I’ll have some articles on other social platforms such as Instagram and Twitter two platforms I think visual artists need to know and use. Sometimes the Universe sends you messages that just don’t seem clear, but for me ever since I’ve started sharing myself with others in a way that just gives me joy; I’ve found more joy in the sharing. What’s even more fun is when I can do something that benefits everyone involved such as my 45th Birthday Celebration! It’s all about working together and helping each other grow the art of crochet, the perception of crochet and our businesses all at the same time.
