congratulations

I recently hosted a design challenge, for all of the crochet artists out there who wanted the chance to have there designs judged by their peers.  This contest had many fantastic prices such as a Yarn Bowl designed by Mudcrush Pottery! A handcarved hook from Craftwich Creations.  A skein of handspun yarn from Spinning Wheel Studio. As well as a one of kind necklace from Cre8tion Crochet (your choice of a Tree of Life or a Crochet Ring Necklace).

and her lovely Sailor Duck Security Blanket

Winner of the Cre8tion Challenge. Dammit Janet Let's Crochet!

Let’s get to know a little bit about Janet:

I’m a stay at home mom to a little boy whose 6 years old.
Since I was 16, I was very much fascinated with learning to crochet. My grandmother tried to teach me but I just couldn’t get the hang of it, so she taught me to knit instead. About 2 years ago, I had seen several young and older women wearing slouchy berets. I thought they where so cute that I wanted to buy one but couldn’t find them anywhere to purchased. So I thought to myself I’m a fast learner if I could only find a pattern online I can teach myself how to make it. I found a great tutorial on youtube and since then I been crocheting. I mostly love making amigurumis for my kid, nephews and niece. My little boy is a Mario Bros fanatic and I couldnt find the characters he wanted me to make so I decide to try to give it a shot and design it myself. The very first amigurumi I design was Wiggler.  My son was in love with it and ever since he’s been my #1 fan
