To make this particular project I grabbed some Red Heart Yarn I had left over from other projects and put them together to make this bright color combo.  This was originally going to be a blanket for my daughter, but as I was working it I realized it wanted to be something else, and who am I to argue with yarn?

I have been playing with the idea of making a different type of granny for a while; I wanted one that was based on a shell pattern, as opposed to the typical granny square. (Many more patterns using the shell granny will be coming soon)
