Frozen Beaches Headwrap Pattern
The front post cluster stitches in this free ear warmer pattern not only create a beautiful texture but they also create a thick, warm fabric. The button closure in the back makes it easy to put on and take off without messing up your hair.
YARN
Caron Simply Soft or similar worsted weight yarn- approx. 90 yards
MATERIALS
5.5 mm (J) crochet hook (or size needed to obtain gauge)
1 button- (approx ¾”-1”)

7 pattern repeats= 4” (1 pattern repeat consists of 1 dc and one FPdcCL)
STITCH GUIDE
ch(s) – chain(s), sc – single crochet, dc – double crochet, st(s) – stitch(es), FPdcCL- front post double crochet cluster (see special stitches), sc2tog- single crochet 2 together
SPECIAL STITCHES
Front Post Double Crochet Cluster- *YO, insert hook from front to back around post of indicated st and draw up a loop, YO and draw through 2 loops*, rep *-* two more times, YO and draw through all 4 loops- FPdcCL made.
NOTES
- Each beginning ch 3 WILL count as a st, each beginning ch 1 WILL NOT- for sc rows place the first sc in the same sp as the ch 1
- FPdcCL sts will be worked around the posts of the dc sts 2 rows down, skipping over the sc row, dc sts will be worked in the sc of the previous row
