Front Trim B
Reattach yarn w/sl st in FIRST ch st of beginning chain for ‘front’ piece. Working in ENDS of rows (opposite side from Front Trim A):
Row 1:ch1, sc in ends of rows evenly across for (90 [100,110,120] sts), turn
Row 2 & 3: repeat R1
Row 4: ch1, sc in each st across (90 [100,110,120] sts), fasten off and weave in ends.
FINISHING
Assemble
Lay back piece flat, sc trim at the bottom and right side up. Line up one of the short ends of the front piece with the edge of the back piece (be sure the sc trimmed edges are on top and bottom). Twist the front piece one time and line up the 2nd short end with the other side edge of the back piece. Schematic shows where to stitch. On the top at the shoulders you will be stitching (from the outside in, using needle and thread and whip stitch): 3″[3 1/2″, 4″, 4 1/2″]. On the sides you’ll be STARTING to stitch 9″[9 1/2″, 10″, 10 1/2″] DOWN from the top (this creates the armhole), all the way to the bottom.
Armhole trim:
(Right side facing out) Reattach yarn w/sl st at bottom of armhole.
R1: ch1, sc evenly around (60sts [66,72,78]), join w/sl st in first sc, turn
R2: ch1, sc around (60sts [66,72,78]), join w/sl st in first st, turn
R3: repeat R2
R4: ch1, sc around (60sts [66,72,78]), join w/sl st in first st, fasten off and weave in ends.
Neck trim:
(Wrong side of BACK of piece facing you) Reattach yarn w/sl st on right side of neckline at the shoulder seam. Ch1, sc evenly across (21sts [24,27,30]), sl st shoulder seam on left side, fasten off and weave in ends.
