Fall Crochet Fashion Trends of 2015 – Ponchos, Capelet and Sweaters Round Up

September 9, 2015 By: Cre8tion Crochet

September is all about Fall Crochet Fashion Trends in crochet. Fall brings forth the feeling of cooler weather yet still freeing enough where you don’t have to bundle up too much. Ponchos and capelets are great Fall weather accessories since they serve a great purpose of keeping you warm without too much added bulk. Sweaters are fantastic, too. You don’t have to wear too much clothing to keep warm. Here is a collection of a 12 free crochet pattern ranging from ponchos to sweaters.

8. Mantella Crochet Cape by Where Is The Wonderland

This cape is crochet in rows. Work a rectangle, close it with a side seam with crochet hook or a tapestry needle (from the neck to the back).

So it will be easy to make a cape with the perfect circumference or choose the right size according to use: above the coat for winter or smaller, for spring, to wear over a shirt or T-shirt.

9. Kelley’s Poncho by Julie Blagojevich

Kelley’s Ponchito is a light and lacy poncho crocheted from side to side as a single rectangle and then seamed to create the poncho shape.

The neck opening is crocheted last. Kelley’s Ponchito offers a change from the usual wrap and shawl shapes.

However, the design can be crocheted and worn as a rectangular wrap, as well.
