Fall Crochet Fashion Trends of 2015 – Neck & Shoulder Wear

September 16, 2015 By: Cre8tion Crochet

In continuing with our third week of all things Fall Crochet Fashion Trends of 2015, I bring to you Neck & Shoulder Wear. I have a round up of 15 free patterns of the shawl, wrap, scarf and cowl variety. These designs are trending in color and style. Another timeless classic, is the fringe. The fringe jazzes up a piece giving it an airy and fashionable flow, especially the shawl or wrap. You will also see the granny square. It just keeps popping up in different styles!

The beauty of these designs is that you can crochet them in your favorite colors, or in one or more colors that are currently trending. Take the Unique Lace Wrap by Cre8tion Crochet, for example. The wrap incorporates several colors, or variations of, that are currently trending like Stormy Weather, Biscay Bay, Reflecting Pond and Amethyst Orchid. These colors blend well together giving the wrap a tranquil and warm aura.

The possibilities are endless with these 15 free crochet patterns. Which of these will you make for yourself or someone else? I have my eye on several of these already.

9. Crochet Lorelai Shawl by Kimberly K. McAlindin for Red Heart

It’s hard to believe that this colorful shawl is made with just one color of yarn. The motifs are joined as you are making it, which means there is little finishing.

10. Clapochet by Crochet Kitten

Our crochet Clapochet is also worked on the diagonal, with chain spaces peppered throughout to create a texture similar to the original Clapotis. If variegated yarn is used, it will stripe with the texture instead of against it, but the final result is just as versatile as the original in that it may be scrunched up and worn as a scarf or spread out and worn as a shawl.
