ch(s) – chain(s), sc – single crochet, dc – double crochet, dc dec – double crochet decrease, st – stitch
NOTES
Working with fur yarn takes patience, but it is also very forgiving. It can hide small imperfections. Push the fur to the side or the back to locate the stitches. Make sure to count your stitches as you work.
To make the collar longer, increase the number of chains. (Chains added must be in even intervals, place your stitch markers in the center 2 sts)
To make the collar wider, continue working rows to desired width.
Increasing the size of the collar will require extra yarn.
PATTERN
Chain 57
Row 1: dc in the 3rd chain from the hook ( ch 2 counts as first dc here and throughout) and in each chain across. Place a stitch marker in sts 30 and 31. Turn <56 dc>
Row 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in the first st, dc in each st to the st BEFORE the first st marker. Dc dec in the next st and the first marked st (move your st marker up to this st), dc dec in the next marked st and the following st (move your st marker up to this st). Dc across to last st, 3 dc in last st. Turn <58 dc>
Rows 3 – 6: Repeat Row 2. <60, 62, 64, 66 dc>
FINISHING
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
