There are so many talented crochet designers out there. I am fortunate to know many of them personally. As a new feature on Cre8tion Crochet, I will be showcasing a different crochet designer every week.
This Week’s Featured Designer is Dorianna of The Lavender Chair
Dorianna started crocheting when she was 8. From the age of 8-17 she would crochet periodically when she saw a design that spiked her interest. At age 19, when she found out she was pregnant, she really got into crocheting. Dorianna wanted to make so many cute things for her little one. The search for patterns brought her to Pinterest and by that point there was no way out. Sh kept finding such amazing patterns and techniques that she never knew existed. Eventually, Dorianna started manipulating patterns to make them her own. Then, one day, she just stopped needing patterns all together. Before she knew it people were asking her to make them things. Dorianna decided it was time to make a career out of it. If she wanted to be a stay at home mom it would be the perfect way to earn extra income. The name The Lavender Chair was inspired by a small lavender chair that Dorianna was gifted at my baby shower for her soon-to-be little girl. And now, I couldn’t imagine not crocheting everyday.
