There are so many talented crochet designers out there. I am fortunate to know many of them personally. As a new feature on Cre8tion Crochet, I will be showcasing a different crochet designer every week.
This Week’s Featured Designer is Marly of Marly Bird
Marly is a crafter at heart. From a young age she could be found doing something creative. When she learned to crochet and knit she KNEW she had to do something in this industry; and boy are we glad she did!
Today, Marly is a full-time crochet and knitwear designer and author, a nationally recognized instructor for both crochet and knitting, she is the host of The Yarn Thing Podcast with Marly Bird, the Creative Director for Bijou Basin Ranch Yarns, the Yarn Ambassador for Red Heart Yarns, and she recently started The Marly Bird YouTube Channel where she teaches both knitting and crochet to the world! Yes, Marly wears many hats, but non are more important to her than being a wife and a mother.
If you ask her where she finds her inspiration she would tell you that she finds it everywhere! A generic answer, yes, but it is true. She pays attention to current fashions, trends and colors and applies them to her designs.
