Crescent Shawls Pattern Compilations

July 13, 2016 By: Cre8tion Crochet

Crescent shawls are shawls with a unique shape. I love the name crescent because it reminds me of that phase of the moon where it is crescent shaped. It’s a beautiful and magical sight to behold. Crescent shaped shawls can be small or big, open and lacy, or tight and close stitches. They can also be crocheted as shawlettes and draping over the shoulder or longer to cover your back.

The beautiful Crescent Shawl is a versatile and gorgeous shawl that you can customize in length and stitch combination.

These crescent shawls in this pattern compilation show a variety of ways you can crochet the crescent shape. These shawls are also great for summer evenings, and perfect for cooler fall nights.

2. Amelia Shawl by Moogly

It’s a quick pattern, which makes it perfect for a Spring Mini Crochet Along – you can squeeze it in among your other projects, and take a few minutes to make something just for you! Though it does make a nice gift…

3. Skylark in Woodland by JessieAtHome

After designing the Skylark scarf, I had a few ideas for a spin~off pattern. The opportunity to bring life to the idea came when I was contacted by Frabjous Fibers to make a version using 2 of their mini~skein packs of Mad Hatter (sport weight). It was a perfect pairing, and I am madly in love with the result!

4. All Shawl by Doris Chan

Create your own All Shawl using virtually any yarn, any gauge. This quick to crochet shawl has a rounded shape with open fronts, sort of like a pie with a wedge missing. This shape helps keep the shawl on your body, with enough fabric to wrap around and toss over the shoulder. Pattern offers tips on yarn substitution, adjusting for length and width, suggestions for customizing with your favorite lace edging or trim.
