Crochet Cowls are one of my favorite things to make. They make the perfect Fall and Winter accessory. I have recently had the chance to review a new book by Sharon Hernes Silverman, Crochet Cowls. This fun book features 15 new designs for bold and beautiful cowls.
I am excited to bring you some details on the book, as well as offer you an opportunity to win a copy of your own. After you check out all this great book has to offer, check out the giveaway below.
In addition to providing 15 never before seen cowl patterns, Sharon also teaches you techniques, both traditional crochet and Tunisian; information on how to read a pattern, for new crocheters, how to read a symbol chart; she also provides a list of abbreviations and resources.
I have picked three of my favorite cowl designs from Sharon’s book, Magenta Mosiac, Chunky Lime Cowl and Firelight Turtleneck. Though I had a hard time picking.
The 15 original designs are comprised of traditional crochet and Tunisian crochet, offering a variety of different styles and techniques. Each pattern in the book is thoughtfully and precisely written out to be easy for everyone to follow, though a basic knowledge of crochet is necessary. The patterns all have step by step instructions and diagram charts.
Don’t forget to enter the contest below for a chance to win one free hardcopy of this book
Special thanks to Sharon Silverman and Stackpole Books for the opportunity to review Crochet Cowls. I did not receive any financial compensation for this review, and all views are expressly my own.
