Spring Crochet Patterns

It’s me, Emily with Crochet Aweigh.

Soon the season of Spring will be upon us! I love Spring for many reasons, but I especially love how everything turns green again! I am always full of new ideas, kind of similar to how it is the season for rebirth in nature. Everything feels fresh and new again! Below is a round up of 10 paid crochet patterns to take you from the Winter blues to feeling refreshed for this new Spring season!

Visit with me on Instagram @Crochet.Aweigh for all kinds of awesome crochet makes and inspiration.

1: V Stitch Summer Cardigan

This V Stitch Cardigan doesn’t have to be for Summer only! Designed by MJ’s Off The Hook Designs, this pattern comes with written instructions and a video tutorial! The designer chose Knit Picks Comfy Cotton Fingering, which is an affordable #1 weight pima cotton / acrylic blend. The construction is a simple top-down with no seaming! You will need an E/3.5mm crochet hook and a G+/4.5mm hook. Clover has some really nice crochet hooks that are ergonomic!

2: Wildflower Hygge Burst Pillow

This throw pillow stopped me in my tracks! The pattern is also available for free here. You will need a washable 14 x 14 pillow form, a G+/4.5mm crochet hook, and a variety of DK #3 weight yarn. The hand dyed yarn the designer used is no longer available, but you can find lots of hand dyed DK yarn at Crochet Aweigh 😉 The main color is WeCrochet Swish DK, which is definitely still available.

3: Summer Sunset Scarf

Perhaps your Spring is still a bit chilly? The Summer Sunset Scarf is for you! This is a quick, beginner-friendly make that uses a DK #3 weight yarn like Berroco Spree, or Juniper Moon Cirrus (one of my personal faves, it is SO soft!). This is another pattern that calls for a G+/4.5mm crochet hook.

4: Spring Wall Hanging

Can’t get much more Spring than this Spring Wall Hanging! This adorable tapestry pattern is also available for free here. The tapestry technique is what is used here for the color changes, and it is explained in the pattern if you’ve never done this technique before. The designer recommends any cotton or acrylic worsted #4 weight yarn like Knit Picks Brava Worsted or Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton.

5: Wheat Stitch Easter Bunny Basket

These sweet Easter Baskets are designed by BrianaK using her signature wheat stitch. She used Lion Brand Hue and Me, which is a chunky #5 weight acrylic/wool blend. You will also need stitch makers, a large pompom maker, and copper wire for structure. She lists a few other optional items like plastic canvas, sewing clips, and wooden circles for a sturdy base.

6: Wisteria Garland

This whimsical Wisteria Garland is giving Bridgerton vibes! The designer recommends a variety of purple worsted #4 weight yarns. This would make a perfect scrap yarn project! You will also need an 8.00mm crochet hook.

7: Daisy Top

The Daisy Top uses a motif that is a twist on the classic granny square! They are join-as-you-go which means no seaming and way fewer ends to weave! The skill level is described as confident beginner, and it is written for XS-5X. You will want a DK #3 weight yarn that is a natural blend like Berroco Modern Cotton DK. Modern Cotton DK has a really lovely drape, and is very comfortable to wear.

8: Bloom Petal Coaster

These Bloom Petal Coasters are another great stash-busting project! The finished size is between 4-4.5″ depending on your tension. These little flowers make great gifts and are beginner friendly too! The designer recommends a worsted #4 weight cotton like Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton or WeCrochet Dishie.

9: No Sew Easter Bunny Peeps

How cute are these Easter Bunny Peeps? And ya know, with the price of eggs it might be cheaper to hide these little guys for your Easter egg hunt! These little guys use a bulky #6 weight yarn like Bernat Blanket, or Knit Picks Mighty Stitch. The pattern even includes instructions for making them into a keychain!

10: Blooming Joy Blanket

If you like larger and more intricate projects, the Blooming Joy Blanket is for you! This beauty is about 55″ square if you use a sport #2 weight yarn like Brava Sport, or Comfy Sport from WeCrochet. You will need a whopping 4700 yards to make this, but I’m sure you’ll find it is worth it! The pattern includes a ton of step by step photos to help you along on this ambitious project.

I hope you enjoyed this pattern round up of 10 crochet patterns for Springtime! Happy Crocheting!
