PATTERN
Bodice:
Using I hook (or size needed to obtain gauge)
Row 1 (right side) : FSC 85 OR Ch 86, sc in 2nd chain and each chain across. Ch 1, turn. <85>
Row 2: hdc in first sc, *ch 1, skip next sc, hdc in next sc* repeat from *to* to end of row. Ch 1, turn. <85>
Row 3: sc in first hdc, *sc in ch 1 sp, sc in next hdc* repeat from *to* to end of row. Ch 1, turn.
Row 4: sc in first st, *ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next sc* repeat from * to *. Ch 1, Turn. <85>
Row 5: sc in first sc, *ch 1, skip ch 1 sp, sc in next sc* repeat from *to*. Ch 1, turn. <85>
Row 6 – 7 repeat row 5 <85>
Shaping Neckline:
Place stitch marker in stitch # 43. This will be referred to as stitch marker #2
Place stitch marker in stitch # 21. This will be referred to as stitch marker #1
Place stitch marker in stitch # 65. This will be referred to as stitch marker #3
First Strap:
Row 1: Ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 1, skip ch 1 sp, sc in next sc* repeat from *to* to the sc before stitch marker #2. Ch 1, turn. <19 sts>
Rows 2: Skip first sc and ch 1 sp, sc in next sc *ch 1, skip ch 1 sp, sc in next sc*. Repeat from * to * to the last 4 stitches, ch 1, sc2tog over the next sc and the last sc, skipping the ch 1 in between.. Ch 1, turn. <15 sts>
3-5: Repeat row 2 < 11 sts, 7 sts, 3 sts>

Second strap:

- Using the mattress stitch, stitch strap 1 and 2 together.
- Using the mattress stitch, stitch strap 3 and 4 together.
Button placket:
With right side facing, attach yarn at the bottom corner (waistline) of left side (would be the right side of the bodice while wearing, but left side while looking at it flat) of bodice
Row 1-5: sc in ea row end. Ch 1, turn. <7 sts>
Button hole placket:
With right side facing, attach yarn at top corner (neckline) of right side of bodice:
Row 1-3: sc in ea row end. Ch 1, turn. <7 sts>
Row 4: sc in first 1 st, *ch 1, skip next 2 sts, sc in next st* Repeat from *to* 1 more time. Ch 1, turn. <3 sc, 2 ch 1 sps>
Row 5: sc in ea sc, 2 sc in ea ch 1 sp across. <7 sts> Fasten off
Skirt:
Turn at the end of every row
Attach yarn to lower left corner on buttonhole side
Row 1: Ch 1, sc first 2 sts together, sc in next 3 sts, (ch 5, skip next 3 sts, sc in next 5 sts) repeat across ending with ch 5, skip next 3 sts, sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog last 2 sts. Continue to Row 2.
Row 2: Ch 1(counts as first sc), sc in next 2 sc, (ch 3, sc in next ch 5 sp, ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next 3 sts) repeat across.
Row 3: Ch 1 (counts as first sc), sc in next st, (ch 3, sc in ch 3 sp, sc in next sc, sc in ch 3 sp, ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next sc) Repeat across, sc in turning ch.
Row 4: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), dc in next sc, ch 2, (sc in next ch 3 sp, sc in next 3 sc, sc in next ch 3 sp*, ch 5) Repeat across ending last repeat at *, ch 2, dc in in next sc , dc in turning ch.

Row 7: Ch 1(counts as first sc), sc in next 2 sc, 1 sc in ch 3 sp, (ch 5, sc in next ch 3 sp*, sc in next 3 sc, sc in next ch 3 sp) repeat across ending last repeat at *, sc in next 2 sc, sc in turning ch.
Rows 8 – 13: repeat rows 2 – 7 once.
Fasten Off.
FINISHING
- Weave in all ends
- Using an H hook, Attach yarn at the bottom corner of the button placket.
- Ch 1, evenly sc around button placket, bodice, straps, button hole placket and skirt. Fasten off.
- Using H hook, attach yarn to middle, bottom of arm hole, Ch 1, evenly sc around. Fasten off. Repeat for opposite arm hole.
- Sew buttons onto button placket, lining them up with the button holes.
For Tie:
Using a length of ribbon, or a crocheted rope (Ch 126, sc in ea ch, fasten off and weave in ends), weave the tie through the chain spaces in row 2 of the bodice.
Blocking natural fibers is necessary. For best results, please take the time to block your project.
