Happy Fall Friends. I asked you, and you answered… you said you wanted to make a cardigan for the next Crochet-a-Long, so I bring you the Keep Me Warm Cardi. This design comes in 5 sizes and is super warm and cozy.
The Keep Me Warm Cardi is worked top down, in raglan style. The sleeves and hood are then added, and the entire design is edged in a fun ribbed edging. Buttons complete the design but are optional. This cardigan works up surprisingly fast and is a great first time clothing choice.
You can make your sweater using any color combos that you choose. All one color, one color on the body and one color on the edging, stripes, ombre… whatever your heart desires. I will provide the notes on the striping that I used for the sample featured here, but I am going to be making my next Cardi a little different.
I am going to be using Red Hearts new With Love Stripes. This fun new yarn comes in 6 gorgeous colorways. I have ordered myself the Fiji Stripe. I’m going to save myself the hassle of changing my colors and let the yarn do it for me.
BONUS: Red Heart has a sale going on right now to get $5 off all orders of $25 or more through 9/18/2017 @ 11:59PM EST. Use code: 5OFF25REDHEART, click below to get this deal.
Below you will find the basic info you’ll need to make this design. This CAL will take place over four weeks staring on Monday 09/25/17. This will give everyone plenty of time to order their yarn. Next week we will talk a bit on gauge and sizing in preparation for this CAL . The dates for each release are below and I will be updating the links weekly. I can’t wait to make the Keep Me Warm Cardi with you. You can also purchase the full pattern at 50%.
