I love coloring; when I’m stressed it is a great way to help center myself and bring back some calm. I usually grab one of my kids color books or I sketch something myself, usually something I’m thinking of making. Recently my friend Andee of Mamas2Hands released a new e-coloring book with FaveCrafts.
This FREE resource features 4 fun pages that you can print out and color. I spend a little while today coloring this page.

I really enjoyed coloring these crochet covered rocks and I love the pun (get it…. crochet rocks? on crocheted rocks).
I’ve never colored a crochet drawing before and I found it to be mesmerizing. I’m looking forward to coloring my next one (I think I’ll post a video of my process). It can be a bit difficult if you aren’t paying attention because the stitches can trip you up if you aren’t careful, but that is part of what made it so fun for me.
I colored the rock first so that all my negative space was accounted for and then I started in the middle and worked my way out for each rock. I personally prefer working with alcohol markers rather than pencils or crayons. My favorites are ProMarkers. These are the markers that I use for my crochet designing sketches.
Right now I’m running a fun coloring challenge. Simply download this free e-book, print out your favorite pages, color one (or more) any way you like and upload it to my crochet group, Cre8tion Crochet’ers Unite. One week from today I will randomly pick one winner who will get one of my new exclusively designed custom hook by Furls Crochet. These hooks are available in sizes G, H, I, J and K.
I can’t wait to see your colorings!
