Meet Cre8tion Crochets first Contributor
Lisa Jelle of Kaleidoscope Arts & Gifts
I began drawing as soon as I could pick up a pencil. Later I learned how to express myself through other mediums and have always considered myself an artist at heart. My grade school Art teacher encouraged me to begin participating in local art contests/showings and assured me that my talent was special, this made a HUGE impact on me and drives me even today to better myself, learn new things and encourage others (ESPECIALLY children) to be creative and take pride in their craft.
Though I learned to crochet around the age of 7(thanks Grandma!), I took about a 28 year hiatus from it. My interest rekindled in 2008 while anticipating the birth of my youngest daughter, and the creativity continues to grow and evolve like wildfire. I went into business for myself in January of 2011 and have never looked back. Most of the items you’ll find in my shop are indeed crocheted, but I have also branched out into other areas as well. Designing crochet patterns is a recent addiction of mine.
I served in the retail industry for 20 years, and consider great customer service to be the life blood of a customer friendy, successful business…I strive to offer that to all my customers. Paying-it-forward isn’t just a fancy feel good term, to me it’s a necessary part of what I do. Karma is my friend!
My motto in is life AND business: “Life isn’t about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself.”
