Finger Crochet yourself a cowl… or if you prefer use a hook.
Pattern includes directions for both
Finger crocheting is a hot new trend. It is something I have not tried yet but Lisa Jelle of Kaleidoscope Art & Gifts, one of Cre8ton Crochets contributors has created this pattern exclusively for the fans of Cre8tion Crochet.
If you are not familiar with Finger Crochet then you can check out this free online tutorial — >
- Hook (if NOT finger crocheting): S hook
- Worsted Weight Yarn
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge (S hook)
3 sts x 3 rows= 2”x2” test swatch
One size fits all. Finished cowl measures approximately 12” wide FLAT (NOT stretched) and approximately 8”-10” tall.
Abbreviations and stitches required
– FCch- finger crochet chain (watch video above for description and how to)
– ch- chain
– FCsc- finger crochet single crochet
– sc- single crochet
– sl st- slip stitch
– st(s)- stitch(es)
IF you are choosing to crochet this with a HOOK-vs-finger crocheting, concentrate on keeping your stitches VERY loose and consistent, otherwise gauge will be significantly wrong.
