Saffron Sweet Shawl

August 27, 2014 By: Lorene

“I’m just mad about Saffron, Saffron’s mad about me“*! This shawl has a magnificent drape. It is also very versatile and can be worn many different ways.

The Saffron Sweet Shawl is perfect for cooler summer days and warmer fall nights and everywhere in between.  It is open and airy yet not too lightweight that it doesn’t  provide some warmth.  This shade of amber is the perfect early fall color.

  •  Ch4 counts as first tr
  • Stitch counts appear at the end of each row in <brackets>. Each stitch count will only include the SHs (in-cluding Ext SHs and Inc SHs). Each row will also include 2 sets of either 2tr or [2tr, Ch2, 1tr] (one at the beginning of the row and one at the end).
  • Place stitch marker in the Ch3 of every row to keep place. This is the center and where you Ext SHs or Inc SHs will be placed.
  • This pattern does not require blocking, though it can be done if you feel your work needs to be neatened up a bit.  Depending on fiber used your shawl could benefit greatly from a good blocking.
