STITCH GUIDE
ch(s) – chain(s), sc – single crochet, dc – double crochet, st(s) – stitch(es), RS – right side,
NOTES
- ch 2 does count as first dc
- for entire pattern, each dc will be placed in a sc st and each sc will be placed in a dc st
PATTERN
Row 1 (RS): ch 27, turn, sc in 3rd chain from hook, *dc in next st, sc in next st, repeat from * to end. <26>
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, *sc in the next dc, dc in the next sc, repeat from * to end.
Rows 3-23: Repeat row 2
Edging
Sc evenly around the outside edge, place 1 sc at the end of each row that ends in sc and 2dcs in each row that ends with dc. Place 2sc in each corner. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
Sometimes cotton yarns tend to bleed color; to prevent this soak your dish cloths in a 50:50 blend of water and white vinegar. Wash as normal before use. Lay flat to dry after each use.
