The Blustery Day cowl is a fun new design that can be worn in 4 different ways. This free convertible crochet cowl pattern features an interesting twist on a decrease stitch to create a look similar to a V-stitch, but worked in a very different way.
This Unique cowl is the perfect accessory for when you have a blustery day but you still want to look amazing.

*this stitch is technically the same as a dc2tog, but because of how each row is worked, it is not a decrease st.
NOTES
- St counts are in brackets <> at the end of each row. St count does not include ch-1.
- In rows 1-17, the beginning ch-3 and dc sts will count as one st each, dc clusters will count as one st.
- In rows 18-27, the ch-3 at the beginning of each row and the individual dc at the end of each row will be counted separately from dc clusters
- Pattern is worked from tip of cowl to top of cowl with increase rows. After row 17, where you join to form the cowl portion, the pattern will be worked evenly, with no increases.
- This pattern may seem complicated for the first 3 rows, because of how the increases are made, just be sure to read carefully and do the pattern exactly as it is written. It goes against what you would normally be used to. Once you get past row 3 it is smooth sailing.
