A couple of months ago, I ran a mystery stash giveaway on my EyeLoveKnots blog, and as I was going through the three boxes of yarn I had pulled out, and set aside, I found 8 skeins of Premier Yarns Wool Free Sock Yarn, so I thought I’d put together this fun collection featuring free crochet patterns that use the same weight yarn, and do a giveaway (at the bottom of this post).
I did use this yarn years ago, and created the Oasis Cluster Top. I love this yarn so much! It is lightweight, soft, durable, and feels great against the skin. I live in Florida, and this made the best garment for the hot weather. I am a bit sad it’s been discontinued, instead I wish Premier Yarns would come out with some solid colors.

Onto the Giveaway!
One winner will receive a package of Premier Yarns Wool-Free Sock Yarn from me! This includes 8 skeins in total: 1 of Berry Bush, 1 of Oceanic, 2 of Pueblo, 1 Utah, 2 Grand Canyon, and 1 partial skein of Oasis. There is a swatch that is still attached and can be frogged from the Oasis and one of the Grand Canyons.
I am running this giveaway together with EyeLoveKnots – there will be only 1 winner between the two blogs.
Some of the skeins say that are just Wool-Free Sock, a #2 yarn, and some state that they are Wool-Free Sock Stripes, a #1 yarn. In research, I think the Stripes version is the revamp, and in doing so, they changed the weight to fingering.
This yarn is 235 yards, and the fiber content is 93% Acrylic, 7% PBT.
Special Note: I have two cats. They do not mingle with my yarn, but you may find cat hairs on the yarn you receive – it’s hard to avoid.
International Makers: I always like to include everyone! If you are outside the US, you can still enter to win, but you will receive a digital Etsy gift card instead of yarn.
I included several ways to enter (through the Rafflecopter below). To be entered in the giveaway, you only need to complete one task, but the more you do, the better your chances. Some of them you can come back and do again once a day! Last time to enter will be Sunday 12/18/22 at 11:59pm EST.
*The Rafflecopter works. I receive a lot of messages each time I run a giveaway stating it’s not working. If you can’t see it, please check your browser in case you have any apps/settings that may prevent it from showing, or try clearing your cache. Entering via the Rafflecopter is the only way to gain entries.
a Rafflecopter giveawayMust be 18 years or older to enter. Open to all countries. Void where prohibited. Winner has 48 hours to respond to email notification, or another winner will be chosen. Alexandra (that’s me!) of EyeLoveKnots & Cre8tion Crochet is responsible for fulfilling remaining prizes.

There are some amazing patterns here!! I’d love to win the yarn so I can get started. I don’t normally use #2 weight yarn.
Verna Bradshaw says
Thank you compiling this list. I definitely found a couple I want to make next year!

So happy to hear! I have several I’d like to make as well.
