1: The Rainer Stocking
Of course we have to start off the list with stockings! The Rainer Stocking by Pretty Darn Adorable will look fantastically festive hanging on your mantle. It comes out to 18″ x 8″ and has a ripple-style stitch for texture. This stocking is considered beginner friendly, and it uses a chunky #5 size yarn. If I was going to go all out on these stockings I would use Berroco Remix Chunky, which is made up of recycled fibers, and offers a beautiful tweed look. For a simpler and softer option I would choose Cherub Chunky from Cascade Yarns, which is a nylon/acrylic blend that comes in LOTS of colors.

2: The Wheat Stitch Wreath
The Wheat Stitch Wreath is a fun one because you can make it in any colors for whichever season of the year you want! This wreath is designed by BrianaK Designs, and she has a bunch of patterns using this wheat stitch so if you love it as much as I do, you can make ALL the things using this beautiful stitch! For the wreath you will need 2 colors of a worsted #4 size yarn like Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton, Berroco Remix, or WeCrochet Brava Tweed. The wreath is made by creating 2 simple rectangles, and the pattern includes instructions for 4 sizes!
If you would prefer an ad-free, printable PDF, you can purchase one on Etsy.

3: Christmas Tree Pillow
This is a fun one if you have kids! This plush, happy Christmas tree pillow by Wonder Crochet will keep you smiling all season! You will need bulky #6 size yarn like Ella Rae Cuddle and a size 9.00mm crochet hook. Most of this pillow is no-sew, and you can customize it to your liking!

4: Peppermint Throw & Pillow
This absolutely stunning Peppermint Throw and Pillow from Yarnspirations are sure to get you in the festive mood! I would feel like I was living in a gingerbread house if I was snuggled up under this blanket! You will need approximately 2560 yards of red, and 1536 yards of white. My favorite worsted weight yarn right now is Pacific from Cascade Yarns, which is an acrylic/wool blend that is machine washable/dryable, and it is a great price point!

5: Christmas Placemat
My jaw dropped when I saw this Christmas Placemat by Fav Crochet! The buttons as ornaments are just the cutest! She includes step-by-step photos, and has a YouTube tutorial for those who prefer to follow along that way. The designer doesn’t include specifically which weight yarn to use, but to use a yarn that has structure. If I was making these for my table (which I definitely will be doing soon!) I would use Lion Brand 24/7 cotton because it comes in so many colors, is 100% cotton, and has great structure.

6: 6 Day Supernova Holiday Tree Skirt
The 6 Day Supernova Holiday Tree Skirt by Betty McKnit is so pretty and classic! The finished skirt is approximately 64″ across, but easy to adjust. You will need about 2700 yards of a worsted #4 weight like Pacific from Cascade Yarns, or Berroco Bozzolo Yarn. Bozzolo is a color changing yarn, which would be really gorgeous on this tree skirt!

7: Scrap Buster Holiday Light Garland
This scrap buster garland by Carla D. T. Fisher would look great wrapped around your tree or up the banister on the stairs! She says that each bulb only takes 6 yards of worsted #4 weight yarn! You will need a C/2.75mm crochet hook to make these holiday bulbs that will never burn out!

8: Red Christmas Truck Table Runner
This Red Christmas Truck Table Runner designed by BrianaK Designs will be the perfect touch to your Rustic Christmas table for family dinners! I love the buffalo check pattern on either end! The designer used WeCrochet Brava for her table runner, and a size H8/5.00mm crochet hook.

9: Farmhouse Truck Pillow
If you love matching sets as much as I do, you’ll need this matching pillow to go with your table runner! BrianaK used Red Heart With Love for her pillow with about 680 total yards. Berroco Vintage would also be an excellent choice for this pillow! You will need an H8/5.00mm crochet hook for this pillow as well.

10: Jaunty Snowmen Doily
If you are looking for a Christmas doily with a modern twist, look no further! This is a fun and festive doily with happy snowmen designed by Marsha Glassner. It calls for crochet thread, and I usually go for Aunt Lydia’s. You will need a 1.65mm crochet hook, or whatever size you are comfortable with as gauge is not important here.

11: Christmas Crochet Coasters
These Poinsettia coasters by Kelly Rene Everyday are perfect for entertaining during the holiday season! They are beginner-friendly and customizable. You will need 3 colors of worsted weight #4 cotton yarn. Nifty Cotton from Cascade Yarns would be a great choice, or Circulo Natural Cotton Max Color would work well too!

12: Ugly Christmas Sweater Ornaments
These Christmas Sweater ornaments designed by Raffamusa Designs aren’t so ugly after all! This is another great scrap yarn project! If you are feeling super creative (aren’t we all?!?) then you can use these for more than just ornaments. Think gift tags, garlands, magnets, and more! To get them to be nice and dainty use scraps of sport weight yarn, and a 2.00mm crochet hook!

13: Scandinavian Snowflake Afghan
This is a classic snowflake afghan designed by The Crochet Crowd, and it is beautiful! It would be amazing in just about any color, but the red is vibrant and festive for the holiday season! The designer used Bernat Super Value Yarn, but my favorite for blankets right now is Pacific from Cascade Yarns. Whichever soft yarn you choose you will need about 1,278 yards of each color, or 2,556 yards total.

14: Poinsettia Doily
This Poinsettia Doily by Handmade by Raine would make an incredible centerpiece for Christmas dinner! This is considered an intermediate pattern due to the use of lots of post stitches, but don’t worry! If you get stuck she does have a video tutorial in addition to the written instructions.

15: Icing Washcloth
This 12.5″ square washcloth from Premier Yarns would make a great gift! Crocheted or knitted wash cloths work the best, ya know!? Premier Home Cotton and an H8/5.00mm crochet hook is what the pattern calls for.

16: Mini Mug Basket
These cute Mini Mug Baskets are designed by Sarah of Repeat Crafter Me. These would make great little baskets for gifting, or placing around your home to hold miscellaneous things during the holiday season. Sarah used Red Heart Super Saver and a size H8/5.00mm crochet hook for her mugs.

17: Twinkle Trees
These pretty Twinkle Trees designed by Love and Stitch Co. are available on Ravelry as a free download! I love the simplicity of these. You will need a worsted weight #4 yarn in cotton like Circulo Natural Cotton Max Color. These would make cute ornaments too if you add a loop at the top!

18: Christmas Tree Tissue Box Cover
This creative tissue box cover is designed by Nicki’s Homemade Crafts. This would be such a cute accessory sitting in your guest bathroom! Nicki used Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn for her tree, but another perfect option would be Caron Simply Soft Party. You will also need tiny pom poms, hot glue, and a G/4.00mm crochet hook.

19: Christmas Gnomes
These little gnomes designed by Winding Road Crochet would look adorable sitting across your fireplace mantel, or hanging on the Christmas tree! Red Heart With Love, a worsted #4 weight yarn, would make for perfect little gnomes! She decorated hers with little bits from Christmas floral picks too!

20: Crochet Snow Globe
Last but not least we have this cute snow globe amigurumi by Golden Lucy Crafts. This is a crocheted snow globe that uses Christmas buttons as embellishments, which is way easier than trying to crochet the appliques! This is considered an intermediate pattern as it uses the tapestry technique. The finished snow globe is about 5″ tall. You can use any acrylic worsted weight #4 yarn, but the designer used Red Heart Super Saver for hers.
