Hi! This is Kami. Be sure to come join me over on Instagram and say Hi.
During the hotter months I still love to crochet. Most of the time however I gravitate towards smaller projects. These Star Studded Bracelets are a little bit reminiscent of friendship bracelets and they are a fantastic way to practice embroidery stitches. Additionally they come together very quickly. I made my three variations in under two hours.

What Materials Do You Need to Crochet Star Studded Bracelets?
- Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn – I used Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton Yarn in Aqua (16 yards), Cool Gray (11 yards), Ecru (7 yards), Dragonfly (6 yards), and White (6 yards)
- G6/4mm crochet hook
- Measuring Tape or Ruler (Not a necessity but nice for making sure it will fit)
- Scissors
- Tapestry Needle

Material Notes:
This project is a great way to use up scraps of yarn. Although the pattern is written for three colors you could use as many or as few as you want. First making the bracelet base takes 20 yards or less. Then you will need 2-6 yards of each additional color for the embroidery.
I used scraps of Lion Brand 24/7 yarn. It is a strong mercerized cotton yarn. Additionally it has a nice sheen and deep colors.

How Long Does it Take to Crochet Star Studded Bracelets?
I made all three of my bracelets in under two hours.
What Size are the Finished Star Studded Bracelets?
The aqua base measures 7 inches by 1.5 inches. The ecru base measures 8 inches by 1 inch. The cool gray base measures 7 inches by 1.25 inches. All measurements are laid flat before embroidery and seaming.
Gauge:
Using worsted weight cotton yarn and G6/4 mm crochet hook, 4 rows and 4 stitches equal 1 inch in single crochet.

Pattern Notes:
I wanted to make a few coordinating bracelets. However I didn’t want them all to look exactly the same. After making one as specified in the pattern, I made some variation on the other two. By keeping a similar color palette they can be mixed and matched.
Firstly for the aqua base I followed the pattern for the 7 inch bracelet. Then I added five stars to my bracelet leaving two holes between stars. Finishing with the back stitch and whip stitch as specified in the pattern.
Secondly to narrow the bracelet my ecru base has only four rows. I chose to make it with the 8 inch instructions to help with stacking. Then I replaced the stars with dots, made with French knots. Finally I skipped a space between stitches when adding the whip stitch edge.
Lastly when making the cool gray base I started with a row of half double crochet. Following with two rows of single crochet and one more row of half double crochet. Instead of embroidery I chose to embellish with surface crochet. Adding surface crochet in three spots gave it a fun striped look. If you wanted to stick with embroidery a chain stitch would give a similar look.
These bracelets were so fun to make and I am absolutely loving how they turned out!!
